For the first time in the United States, a group of college professors has launched a campaign for the cultural and academic boycott of Israel, similar to the one promoted in the last few years by British academicians.
The U.S. Campaign for the Academic & Cultural Boycott of Israel stated that “As educators of conscience, we have been unable to stand by and watch in silence Israel's indiscriminate assault on the Gaza Strip and its educational institutions.”
The idea of this type of boycott emerged in 2001 in Durban at the World Conference Against Racism, where blaming Israel and Jewish control of the media solved all the problems of racial discrimination in the world.
I think that a good response to this campaign would be a Jewish boycott of the universities of the signatories of this petition. Let’s start with the University of Southern California, where David Lloyd, one of the organizers of the Israeli boycott, “teaches” English.
