Having worked in public schools, I remember the difficulties encountered by anyone who wanted to put a bulletin board with some religious images, or the complaints by teachers over a small Christmas tree on secretary's desk. Social Studies teachers had to bend over backwards when teaching elements related to religion. But all this began to change in the last decade when anti-religious criticism was allowed only when teaching Judeo-Christian topics. With respect to Islam, social studies textbooks had to be approved by Muslims who whitewashed any references critical of jihad or Islam. As chair of the social studies department, I was inundated with invitations to get free books, magazines and field trips that upon careful investigation, I found were financed by the Saudi embassy.

Here we have a video of a middle school in Massachusetts who did not do its homework. Watch it and imagine the same event taking place in a Baptist, Catholic or Jewish house of worship.

The Brutality of Muslim Jurisprudence

Whenever I begin to question my attitude towards Islam, a new story emerges that reinforces my earlier opinions. The last couple of days I saw two stories that exemplify the savagery of Islam. The first one came from Afghanistan where a young couple that fell in love and eloped despite the man being engaged, was captured, tried and stoned to death all in the course of one hour. No trial, no evidence, no extenuating circumstances and no appeal.

The next story came form the Wahhabi kingdom of Saudi-Arabia where the family of a man who was left paralyzed after a fight, asked a judge to have the attacker paralyzed under the doctrine of "an eye for an eye." The judge has began the search for doctors to perform surgery that would damage the spinal cord of the accused, despite the fact that he has already served time in prison for the crime he was accused of committing.

This is not a punishment that is promoted by a specific brand of Islam, it is Islam, a religion where any attempt at reform is meted with death.

If we removed God from the Koran, what we have left is a philosophy of hatred that makes Mein Kampf look like a progressive book.  And the mainstream media continues to describe the majority of Muslims as peace loving.  Where are the statistics to support this?  The silence of more than a billion Muslims is enough enough evidence of their support and compliance with the violent edicts of Islam. 

Isn't it time that we called it like it is?  Islam is incompatible with Judeo-Christian philosophy and it is a threat to Western civilization.  Muslims who live by the tenets of their religion should stay as far away as possible from the regions of the world that they so despise.

• NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, Dec. 9, 2004: "It's the TV industry's newest experiment, 'Bridges TV,' billing itself the 'American-Muslim lifestyle network,' featuring movies, documentaries, cartoons. . . . It's the brainchild of Aasiya Hassan, an architect, and her husband, Muzzamil Hassan, a banker, who are disturbed that negative images of Muslims seem to dominate TV, especially since 9/11."

• Boston Globe editorial, Aug. 4, 2010: "The simple fact is there's nothing threatening about the proposed Islamic center, which is being spearheaded by Feisal Abdul Rauf, one of the most respected moderate Muslim leaders in the country."

See where this is going?

Most readers probably know of Awlaki as the U.S.-born imam who presided over the mosque attended by two of the 9/11 hijackers. Awlaki also served as theological mentor to Fort Hood killer Nidal Malik Hasan, would-be Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, and Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad. President Obama has authorized the military to assassinate Awlaki, now thought to be living in Yemen.

As for Bridges TV, the saccharine story told by Brian Williams and reporter Ron Allen (complete with scenes of the family's domestic bliss in their modest home in Buffalo, N.Y.), came to an abrupt end in February 2009, when Mr. Hasan beheaded his wife after she had filed for divorce, evicted him from their home, and won an order of protection. Last week, Mr. Hasan's attorney defended her client on the grounds that he was, of all things, a "battered spouse."

Now we have the controversy over the Ground Zero mosque, opponents of which are being widely branded as bigots. As, no doubt, some of them are: There are bigots in any crowd.

Then again, is it bigoted to oppose bigots? Consider an interesting historical antecedent. In 1993, a controversy similar to the current one unfolded when residents of a Washington, D.C., suburb sought to use zoning laws to shut down the local mosque, ostensibly on grounds that it was a traffic nuisance. "Worshipers of many faiths said closing the popular mosque . . . would amount to discrimination against one of the area's fastest growing religions," the Washington Times reported at the time.

The mosque in question? None other than the Dar al-Hijra, later to be known as the "9/11 mosque." So were the petitioners who sought to shut it down bigots? Or is it that they got a whiff of its extremism, and didn't like the smell? "We are appalled at the ill will and friction," the paper quoted one Sylvia Johnson, "who said mosque-goers have yelled at her and blocked her driveway."

Here, of course, the argument will be made that, unlike Awlaki, Mr. Rauf really is a moderate. And that might well be so—by the standards of his native Kuwait. But a man who claims to condemn all forms of terrorism yet refuses to call Hamas a terrorist group is not a moderate by American standards, which happen to be the relevant ones when you're trying to build a mosque two blocks from Ground Zero. Mr. Rauf still has a perfect legal right to go ahead with his scheme. But his supporters need to choose between defending him on grounds of his alleged moderation (in which case his views are relevant), or on the principle of religious liberty (in which case they're not). They can't have it both ways.

Which brings me to the fundamental problem with too many self-described moderate Muslims. A few years ago, my friend Irshad Manji made the point to me that "moderate Muslims denounce terror that's committed in the name of Islam but they deny that religion has anything to do with it." By contrast, she noted, "reform-minded Muslims denounce terror that's committed in the name of Islam and acknowledge that our religion is used to inspire it."

That's a distinction worth pondering. It's also a considerable comfort to know that there are Muslims in the U.S. like Irshad who are working, tirelessly but mainly out of view, toward the cause of reform. They could use more support and recognition. As for the professional charlatans and secret radicals who claim to be moderate, it would be well if their cheerleaders in the media could inspect their credentials a little more carefully before lavishing them with praise. Because, when it comes to heralding the arrival of the long-awaited moderates, there's nothing more embarrassing than a case of premature congratulation.

Stoned in Iran

Justice in the Islamic Republic.

If an Iranian prosecutor has his way, a 43-year-old mother of two will soon be taken from her cell in Tabriz prison, wrapped in a white shroud, buried up to her chest in a dirt pit, and stoned to death. In accordance with Iran's penal code, the rocks pelted at her head will be big enough to inflict pain, but not large enough to kill her immediately. It will take time—maybe half an hour—for her to die.

Welcome to Iranian justice, where the testimony of a woman is worth half that of a man, and gays are hanged in the public square.

The Islamic Republic insists that the crimes of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani are manifold. A poor Azeri who speaks little Persian, Ms. Ashtiani was first found guilty by an East Azerbaijan court in May 2006 of having "illicit relationships" with two men. For this, she was lashed 99 times.

In another trial several months later, she was sentenced to stoning for alleged adultery with the man accused of murdering her husband. Last Sunday the head of the East Azerbaijan Judiciary told the Islamic Republic News Agency that, in addition to these sexual crimes, Ms. Ashtiani was also convicted of the murder itself.

Following a campaign by her two children, the Western press and various politicians and celebrities, the Iranian embassy in London issued a statement last week saying the stoning was suspended. Yet Ms. Ashtiani's fate remains unclear. Her lawyer, Mohammad Mostafai, says that the stay is ambiguous and that there's a "very serious chance" of execution by other means, like hanging.

The chief of the judiciary in her province confirmed that "whenever the respectable head of the judiciary [Sadeq Larijani] finds it expedient, the execution of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani will be carried out." Tehran has banned newspapers and TV stations from reporting accurately on Ms. Ashtiani's case. Most Iranians don't even know her name. Meanwhile, we hear that her 22-year-old son Sajad has been summoned by the Tabriz intelligence ministry. Our calls to him went unanswered.

Ten other Iranians accused of adultery (seven women and three men) currently await the same medieval punishment for their "crime against God," according to Amnesty International. The silver lining in all of this is that the public outcry is making a difference. If only the Obama Administration understood this lesson.

Not the Brightest Lightbulb in PBS's Chandelier

Here is a video of Ayaan Hirsi Ali being interviewed by Tavis Smiley on PBS.  Ms. Ali, who was born a Muslim, and who has studied Islam and has been a victim of Islam, was explaining the role of Islam in Islamism and terrorism, when Smiley went on to argue that there are more examples in the United States of Christian than Muslim violence.  Of course, he is too ignorant to differentiate between random acts of violence where innocent people die, and targeted terror by Muslim Jihadists.

Well, we the taxpayers will continue to pay the salary of this most incompetent member of the mainstream media who owes his position to affirmative action.

Turkish girl 'buried alive for talking to boys'

A 16-year-old Turkish girl was buried alive by relatives as a punishment for talking to boys, the Hurriyet newspaper reported on Thursday.

Police discovered the body of the girl, identified only as M.M., in a sitting position with her hands tied, in a two-meter-deep hole dug under a chicken pen outside her house in Kahta in the southeastern province of Adiyaman, the Turkish daily reported on its website.

An autopsy revealed dirt in the victim’s lungs, thus confirming that she was alive when her father and grandfather buried her.

The teenager's father and grandfather were arrested over the suspected 'honor killing' after police unearth the shackled body.

The usual Muslim suspects in the West will go on TV to decry this murder and every commentator will make sure to remind us that this is not reflective of Islam.

No comment was heard from the N.O.W.  I guess this is because they cannot tie the murder to white American males.

Meanwhile in the Muslim world the silence will continue to be deafening.  And honor killings will continue.

Hatred and the Religion of Peace

The "Moderate" Malaysian PM and Al Gore.

Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has once again stuck his foot in his mouth and made comments that show that the leadership of Muslim nations is either engaged in demagoguery for survival or worst, they actually believe the dangerous nonsense they utter.

To illustrate this point, the Malaysian PM stated that 9/11 was a staged event to justify an attack on the Muslim world. Of course, no attack against the United States can take place without also attacking Israel, whom Dr Mahathir calls a creation of Europe to address the Jewish problem that the final solution and the Holocaust failed to solve.

The political correct crowd keeps calling Islam a great religion and a religion of peace. Terrorists, they tell us, have perverted Islam and are the exceptions among Muslims. Yet, Muslims around the world embrace leaders such as the Malaysian PM and so many of the crazies that are ruling Muslim countries around the globe. No condemnations are heard, and no demonstrations are staged to protest the insanity of the statements made by their leadership.

The reason for this is simple. The Majority of Muslims agree with them. As long as the West fails to accept this, the situation is going to get worst.

Vintage Pilar Rahola: Jews of Six Arms

As I have done before, I am reprinting here a speech given by Pilar Rahola at the Conference in the Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism. For those of you not familiar with Dr. Rahola, she is a Spanish Catalan journalist, writer, and former politician and Member of Parliament.

Pilar Rahola has published several books in Spanish and Catalan and is a columnist in La Vanguardia, Spain; La Nación, Argentina; and Diario de América, USA. Rahola appears frequently on television and has taken part in several university lectures. From 1987 to 1990, she was director of the Catalan publishing house Pòrtic, and as a journalist, she covered the Eritrean-Ethiopian War, the Balkan Wars, the Gulf War, and the fall of the Berlin Wall. As a politician, Rahola was the only member of the Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya in the Spanish Congress of Deputies in 5th and 6th Spanish legislatures. She also served as vice-mayor of Barcelona. Rahola also participated in several committees of investigation, especially those related to political corruption such as the comisión Roldán. In 1996, she left Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya to join Àngel Colom and Joan Laporta in a new political group, the "Partit per la Independència", but after this failed, she concentrated on journalism and writing. Her areas of interest include women's rights, international human rights, and animal rights. In recent years she has attracted controversy in Spain for her critical support of Israel and Zionism.

Jews of Six Arms, speech by Pilar Rahola

A meeting in Barcelona with a hundred lawyers and judges a month ago.

They have come together to hear my opinions on the Middle-Eastern conflict. They know that I am a heterodoxal vessel, in the shipwreck of “single thinking” regarding Israel, which rules in my country. They want to listen to me, because they ask themselves why, if Pilar is a serious journalist, does she risk losing her credibility by defending the bad guys, the guilty? I answer provocatively – You all believe that you are experts in international politics when you talk about Israel, but you really know nothing. Would you dare talk about the conflict in Rwanda, in Kashmir? In Chechnya? – No.

They are jurists, their turf is not geopolitics. But against Israel they dare, as does everybody else. Why? Because Israel is permanently under the media magnifying glass and the distorted image pollutes the world’s brains. And because it is part of what is politically correct, it seems part of solidarity, because talking against Israel is free. And so, cultured people when they read about Israel, are ready to believe that Jews have six arms, in the same way that during the Middle Ages people believed all sorts of outrageous things.

The first question, then, is why so many intelligent people, when talking about Israel, suddenly become idiots. The problem that those of us, who do not demonize Israel have, is that there exists no debate on the conflict. All that exists is the banner; there’s no exchange of ideas. We throw slogans at each other; we don’t have serious information, we suffer from the “burger journalism” syndrome, full of prejudices, propaganda and simplification. Intellectual thinkers and international journalists have given up on Israel. It doesn't exist exist. That is why, when someone tries to go beyond the “single thought” of criticizing Israel, he becomes suspect and unfaithful, and is immediately segregated. Why?

I’ve been trying to answer this question for years: why?

Why, of all the conflicts in the world only this one interests them?

Why is a tiny country which struggles to survive criminalized?

Why does manipulated information triumph so easily?

Why are all the people of Israel, reduced to a simple mass of murderous imperialists?

Why is there no Palestinian guilt?

Why is Arafat a hero and Sharon a monster?

Finally, why when Israel is the only country in the World which is threatened with extinction, it is also the only one that nobody considers a victim?

I don’t believe that there is a single answer to these questions. Just as it is impossible to completely explain the historical evil of anti-Semitism, it is also not possible to totally explain the present-day imbecility of anti-Israelism. Both drink from the fountain of intolerance and lies. Also, if we accept that anti-Israelism is the new form of anti-Semitism, we conclude that circumstances may have changed, but the deepest myths, both of the Medieval Christian anti-Semitism and of the modern political anti-Semitism, are still intact. Those myths are part of the chronicle of Israel.

For example, the Medieval Jew accused of killing Christian children to drink their blood connects directly with the Israeli Jew who kills Palestinian children to steal their land. Always they are innocent children and dark Jews. Similarly, the Jewish bankers who wanted to dominate the world through the European banks, according to the myth of the Protocols, connect directly with the idea that the Wall Street Jews want to dominate the World through the White House. Control of the Press, control of Finances, the Universal Conspiracy, all that which has created the historical hatred against the Jews, is found today in hatred of the Israelis. In the subconscious, then, beats the DNA of the Western anti-Semite, which produces an efficient cultural medium. But what beats in the conscious? Why does a renewed intolerance surge with such virulence, centered now, not against the Jewish people, but against the Jewish state? From my point of view, this has historical and geopolitical motives, among others, the decades long bloody Soviet role , the European Anti-Americanism, the West’s energy dependency and the growing Islamist phenomenon.

But it also emerges from a set of defeats which we suffer as free societies, leading to a strong ethical relativism.

The moral defeat of the left. For decades, the left raised the flag of freedom wherever there was injustice. It was the depositary of the utopian hopes of society. It was the great builder of the future. Despite the murderous evil of Stalinism’s sinking these utopias, the left has preserved intact its aura of struggle, and still pretends to point out good and evil in the world. Even those who would never vote for leftist options, grant great prestige to leftist intellectuals, and allow them to be the ones who monopolize the concept of solidarity. As they have always done. Thus, those who struggled against Pinochet were freedom-fighters, but Castro’s victims, are expelled from the heroes’ paradise, and converted into undercover fascists.

This historic treason to freedom is reproduced nowadays, with mathematical precision. For example, the leaders of Hezbollah are considered resistance heroes, while pacifists like the Israeli singer Noa, are insulted in the streets of Barcelona. Today too, as yesterday, the left is hawking totalitarian ideologies, falls in love with dictators and, in its offensive against Israel, ignores the destruction of fundamental rights. It hates rabbis, but falls in love with imams; shouts against the Israeli Defense Forces, but applauds Hamas’s terrorists; weeps for the Palestinian victims, but scorns the Jewish victims, and when it is touched by Palestinian children, it does it only if it can blame the Israelis.

It will never denounce the culture of hatred, or its preparation for murder. A year ago, at the AIPAC conference in Washington I asked the following questions:

Why don’t we see demonstrations in Europe against the Islamic dictatorships?

Why are there no demonstrations against the enslavement of millions of Muslim women?

Why are there no declarations against the use of bomb-carrying children in the conflicts in which Islam is involved?

Why is the left only obsessed with fighting against two of the most solid democracies of the planet, those which have suffered the bloodiest terrorist attacks, the United States and Israel?

Because the left no longer has any ideas, only slogans. It no longer defends rights, but prejudices. And the greatest prejudice of all is the one aimed against Israel. I accuse, then, in a formal manner that the main responsibility for the new anti-Semitic hatred disguised as anti-Zionism, comes from those who should have been there to defend freedom, solidarity and progress. Far from it, they defend despots, forget their victims and remain silent before medieval ideologies which aim at the destruction of free societies. The treason of the left is an authentic treason against modernity.

Defeat of Journalism. We have more information in the world than ever before, but we do not have a better informed world. Quite the contrary, the information superhighway connects us anywhere in the planet, but it does not connect us with the truth. Today’s journalists do not need maps, since they have Google Earth, they do not need to know History, since they have Wikipedia. The historical journalists, who knew the roots of a conflict, still exist, but they are an endangered species, devoured by that “fast food” journalism which offers hamburger news, to readers who want fast-food information. Israel is the world’s most watched place, but despite that, it is the world’s least understood place. Of course one must keep in mind the pressure of the great petrodollar lobbies, whose influence upon journalism is subtle but deep. Mass media knows that if it speaks against Israel, it will have no problems. But what would happen if it criticized an Islamic country? Without doubt, it would complicate its existence. Certainly part of the press that writes against Israel, would see themselves mirrored in Mark Twain’s ironical sentence: “Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please”.

Defeat of critical thinking. To all this one must add the ethical relativism which defines the present times: it is based not on denying the values of civilization, but rather in their most extreme banality. What is modernity?

I explain it with this little tale: If I were lost in an uncharted island, and would want to found a democratic society, I would only need three written documents: The Ten Commandments (which established the first code of modernity. “Thou shalt not murder“ founded modern civilization.); The Roman Penal Code; and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. And with these three texts we would start again. These principles are relativized daily, even by those who claim to be defending them.

“Thou shalt not murder” ... depending on who is the target, must think those who, like the demonstrators in Europe, shouted in support of Hamas.

“Hurray for Freedom of Speech!”..... , or not. For example, several Spanish left-wing organizations tried to take me to court, accusing me of being a negationist, like the Nazis, because I deny the “Palestinian Holocaust”. They were attempting to prohibit me from writing articles and to send me to prison. And so on... The social critical mass has lost weight and, at the same time ideological dogmatism has gained weight. In this double turn of events, the strong values of modernity have been substituted by a “weak thinking”, vulnerable to manipulation and Manichaeism.

Defeat of the United Nations. And with it, a sound defeat of the international organizations which should protect Human Rights. Instead they have become broken puppets in the hands of despots. The United Nations is only useful to Islamofascists like Ahmadinejad, or dangerous demagogues like Hugo Chavez which offers them a planetary loudspeaker where they can spit their hatred. And, of course, to systematically attack Israel. The UN, too exists to fight Israel.

Finally, defeat of Islam. Tolerant and cultural Islam suffers today the violent attack of a totalitarian virus which tries to stop its ethical development. This virus uses the name of God to perpetrate the most terrible horrors: lapidate women, enslave them, use youths as human bombs. Let’s not forget: They kill us with cellular phones connected to the Middle Ages. If Stalinism destroyed the left, and Nazism destroyed Europe, Islamic fundamentalism is destroying Islam. And it also has an anti-Semitic DNA. Perhaps Islamic anti-Semitism is the most serious intolerant phenomenon of our times; indeed, it contaminates more than 1,400 million people, who are educated, massively, in hatred towards the Jew.

In the crossroads of these defeats, is Israel. Orphan and forgotten by a reasonable left, orphan and abandoned by serious journalism, orphan and rejected by a decent UN, and rejected by a tolerant Islam, Israel suffers the paradigm of the 21st Century: the lack of a solid commitment with the values of liberty. Nothing seems strange. Jewish culture represents, as no other does, the metaphor of a concept of civilization which suffers today attacks on all flanks. The Jews are the thermometer of the world’s health. Whenever the world has had totalitarian fever, they have suffered. In the Spanish Middle Ages, in Christian persecutions, in Russian pogroms, in European Fascism, in Islamic fundamentalism. Always, the first enemy of totalitarianism has been the Jew. And, in these times of energy dependency and social uncertainty, Israel embodies, in its own flesh, the eternal Jew.

A pariah nation among nations, for a pariah people among peoples. That is why the anti-Semitism of the 21st Century has dressed itself with the efficient disguise of anti-Israelism, or its synonym, anti-Zionism. Is all criticism of Israel anti-Semitism? NO. But all present-day anti-Semitism has turned into prejudice and the demonization of the Jewish State. New clothes for an old hatred.

Benjamin Franklin said: “Where liberty is, there is my country.” And Albert Einstein added: “The World is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it”. This is the double commitment, here and now; never remain inactive in front of evil in action and defend the countries of liberty.

In the news, but not the Mainstream Media

In Sudan, a woman is facing being lashed for wearing "indecent" trousers. This an atrocity that should have awaken feminists around the world. Their protests should be deafening. But once again we can see the double standard and the ideology behind this movement. In the West we can have our lives destroyed by feminists just by having given a woman the wrong look or told the wrong joke. In the Muslim world, men can subjugate women in a way that would make Torquemada uncomfortable, and the women in the West keep quiet. It's your Muslims sister who need you most. Do something. Your silence is deafening.

A Conspiracy of Silence: U.S. Media and Honor Killings

Several weeks ago, reports from Kingston, Ontario, told the story of three sisters aged 13 to 19 and another female relative, age 50, immigrants from Afghanistan, who had drowned in the Rideau Canal near Kingston. The supposedly heartsick parents told the police that their daughters had taken the car without permission, and had drowned in this accident. Today, CJAD, a Montreal radio station, reports that the parents were arrested on their way to the airport in an attempt to flee the country.

The police are investigating these deaths as honor killings.

Meanwhile, as Mark Steyn reports:

"Police say 14-year-old Kinza Kaianad died Monday evening at Kingston General Hospital as a result of injuries she sustained Saturday in a hotel pool in Gananoque, roughly 30 kilometres east of Kingston.

Her mother, 43-year-old Naila Yasmin, died in hospital on Sunday. Yasmin, Kaianad and another daughter, age 11, were found unconscious in the indoor hotel pool just before 9 a.m. Saturday.

It is difficult to ascertain the number of honor killing that are taking place in Western Europe, and North and South America, but we can be sure that it is large. Actually, one would be too many.

The question that arises is why have these killings not become the topic of investigative reporting and feminist rage? Is it that the liberal left is seeing this just as part of accepting multiculturalism and the fact that Islam condones this treatment of women?

If so, why are they not willing to accept Judeo-Christian multicultural values when dealing with homosexuality and abortion.

I am more inclined to believe that the the lack of reporting has more to do with the campaign for intimidation subsidized by the Saudis and which involves lengthy and costly litigation.

The video of the beheading of Daniel Pearl probably is there too, in the back of journalist's minds.

From London to Londonistan

Over the last two decades I have become interested in demographics and the impact that demographic changes have had on world politics. By far the best book on the topic is America Alone, by Mark Steyn. The reason I consider this the best study on the topic of demographics is that it is written in plain English, it is easy to understand without being simplistic, and most importantly is politically incorrect. Most studies conducted by members of academia are influenced by the fear of losing a grant or not getting tenure. Steyn doesn’t give a damn about correctness nor is he intimidated by thought police. A Google search would allow you to read more about him, and the persecution he faced at the hands of the Ontario Human Rights Commission on behest of the Canadian Islamic Congress.

Today I was thinking about Steyn and his forecasts when reading an article published in the London Times. The headline of the article is “Muslim population 'rising 10 times faster than rest of society”. A study by the British Office for National Statistics has shown that the Muslim population in England is multiplying at a rate ten times faster than the rest of the population. This, combined with conversions and immigration has led to the Muslim population increasing in the last four years by 500,000 while the number of Christians has declined by 2 million.

This trend is not different from the trend seen in countries across Western Europe. The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, France, Spain, Germany and Italy are facing similar demographic changes, and in many of this countries the shifts have become irreversible. After all, if a German couple marries when the woman is 27, and have a couple of children by the time she 30, in no way can they reverse the demographic changes occurring when a Muslim couple who is married when the woman is 19 and who by age 30 had six children. Many of this couple's children will at age 18 be sent to their ancestral lands to marry a native cousin, who will then migrate to Europe ensuring that by the end of the twenty first century Europe will become Eurabia.

While we are on the topic of Islam, yesterday Iran stoned a man accused of adultery. According to Sharia law, he was buried up to his waist and stoned with stones small enough to ensure a slow death. It is estimated that in some cases it takes up to half an hour to kill the the victim. I was stunned by the silence of of the media and human right organizations. I guess they were too busy fighting water boarding.

Karen Koning AbuZayd

For those who are not news junkies, the name Karen Koning AbuZayd probably means nothing. However, for those who care about the welfare and reputation of Israel, and care about the way information is disseminated by important officials, it is important to know that Ms. AbuZayd is the Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNWRA). It is through her agency that hundreds of millions of dollars are distributed in Gaza and it is UNWRA schools that have become centers of Islamic indoctrination and laboratories for the manufacturing of weapons for terrorists.

I read an article written by Ms. AbuZayd about Gaza becoming a destitute state with the acquiescence of the international community. At no point did she mention the involvement of Hamas in bringing Gaza to the state it is in today. Her UN reports are known to contain one sentence discussing Palestinian violence and several pages describing Israeli responses.

I first came across the name Karen Koning AbuZayd watching a UN press conference on S-Span, wondering who was this woman who managed to distort every statement so as to portray Israel in a negative light. Upon doing some research I found out that she is an American who has been working for may years at the UN and had a B.A. in political science and a Masters in Islamic Studies. Furthermore, she is married to a Sudanese Muslim. Are these elements in her background enough to condemn her as an enemy of the Jewish State? In isolation no, but together yes.

I am sure that Karen AbuZayd is a capable and caring person who could do a terrific job all over the world, but not in the Middle East. If we had a UN spokesperson named Moishe who wore a yarmulke, I am sure that the world would not accept his positive statements about Israel as fair and balanced even if they were. We don’t leave our prejudices and sympathies at the doorway to our offices. In most cases this is not importatnt. However, when working for an organization that must serve as an honest broker and intermediary between warring nations, fairness and impartiality become paramount. Even if every phrase uttered by Ms. Abu Zayd were the truth, and there is much evidence to the contrary, for many of us her cultural background, family ties and education provide enough doubt to make us ponder if she is informing or propagandizing.

With Miguel d’Escoto Brockman as President of the General Assembly, and Karen Koning AbuZayd at the helm of UNWRA, Israel is now facing two enemies: one in Gaza and one on 42nd Street and First Avenue in Manhattan.

The True Meaning of Jihad

Muslims and their acolytes in the West have been attempting for long time to convince infidels that jihad means inner struggle rather than holy war.

Does anyone believe that this protester in Anaheim, CA is asking Hamas to fight Zionism through inner struggle? I doubt it.
